AFC has created a new solution wich allows to handle, with the same stacker, reels with core of 3 or 6 inches. The twin diameters expanding shaft is narrowed in the end part from 146 mm to 70 mm to take also the reel with 76 mm hole.
Once located into the hole, the shaft expands mechanically by pressure of suitable springs; therefore the load is supported even in case of break-pipes or pressure losses in the hydraulic system. A reel of 700 kg with 76 mm hole has been used for testing the machine.
